R.I.P.
{ Woburn }
For those of you who know about Woburn, you’ll know that there is a public pay-to-ride system so of course no mother fucker wants to dig, they just want their money’s worth of riding. You will also know that with the sand there, stuff goes up really quick, but its a shame that it comes down even quicker.
If you don’t know Woburn, I’ll bet you still know the plight that is little shitbags with an incomprehensible ability to destroy jumps and never help digging. How shit is it that, whether you’re a MTBer or BMXer or couldn’t give a toss about the difference, this one thing is universal!
Since there have been about 3 of us actually digging, and anywhere up to about 20 people continually riding come rain or shine, it seems that now is as good a time as any to throw in the towel and look to pastures new. We can’t keep up with the continual damage and it simply seems that whenever we manage to get one step ahead, we have to come 3 or 4 backwards. Not only this, but the litter is ridiculous and we are, quite frankly, sick of the general disrespect that goes on.
Trails is Shouting. If Woburn is anything to go by then it’s shouting that there are too many wankers who dont pull their weight. Who cares if you can super-flip if you can’t pick up a spade or a shovel, or even offer to help! Too right bosses are bitter, we’ve earned the right on those rain soaked winter days when it hurts to dig cuz the metal of your spade is so damn cold. This isn’t a call to arms. This is a call to everyone who manages to hide in their bedroom playing xbox or finds time to ride skateparks all winter and never help the people who make their efforts count. You know who you are and if you ain’t digging then fuck off. You are the problem.
To those who take the time to show the rest of us what you’ve been doing, deep in the woods on the long, dark and cold days of winter, rock on! It’s awesome! Bring on those long days of summer glory.
Whatever. It’s done. Woburn is dead. Long live Woburn.

holla! been meaning to get on this for whhile since i had the old spot, but onwards and upwards….
long story short- i used to dig on my own/with a dude called bill near the end, in some “private” woods, nr glastonbury.
had a digger in before crimbo, all was going well, had like 15 jumps, loadsa stuff, got like 3/4 way through rough stacking stuff when the landowners “business partner/hunter/cock” came trolling on down, giving it the you cant dig here, theres badgers here, your intruding on my land blady blah. anyway, i went to see the landowner and he said that he would have a look at the jumps then let me know the situation…
i never heard back..
so i get a call from my main dude, who is slack, never helped build, park rat blady blah you know the type haha, saying that the landowners of this new spot wanted to meet us and show us the woods!
cut a long story short; we now have 8 acres of rolling downhill woods to play in, in the middle of nowhere.
boom!
if you want to read the whole story and about the whole thing go on (shameless plug here homer hahaha)
digfourvictory.blogspot.com
so, its 10 minutes further drive for me, ten minutes less drive for all the f****ers that havent helped me over the past 3 years but ahwell, as stupid as it sounds, im more stoked on having people to dig with than having 8 acres of woods (which might i add is pretty much a dream come true…) theres only so much solo ipod sessioning any man can handle, and i have the upmost restecpa for the dudes who are still out there on there own making their dream happen! dig for victoryyyyyyyy! heres some photiods of the past 3 weekends work, only small stuff built so far, curvy fun-ness, then the boomers will be stacked, this weekend i think get to it!
ahwell, huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge shout out to mc homer this is a savage idea, thanks for having such a great tasche!
