lovley weekend- land owners friend dropped by for lunch in his helicopter… unreal.
so pretty much everything wed stacked/barrowed has been dialled in now, just gotta dust off in between stuff with some pink fairy dust clay, 4th landing is stacked and half clayed, after that stuffs guna get cereal, bunch of lunkers, roasters whatever, also found a sweet new bit of the woods today (still finding stuff 5 weekends in) haha so yeah umm 15 jump line probs chilled yeaaa peace outtt x
holla! been meaning to get on this for whhile since i had the old spot, but onwards and upwards….
long story short- i used to dig on my own/with a dude called bill near the end, in some “private” woods, nr glastonbury.
had a digger in before crimbo, all was going well, had like 15 jumps, loadsa stuff, got like 3/4 way through rough stacking stuff when the landowners “business partner/hunter/cock” came trolling on down, giving it the you cant dig here, theres badgers here, your intruding on my land blady blah. anyway, i went to see the landowner and he said that he would have a look at the jumps then let me know the situation…
i never heard back..
so i get a call from my main dude, who is slack, never helped build, park rat blady blah you know the type haha, saying that the landowners of this new spot wanted to meet us and show us the woods!
cut a long story short; we now have 8 acres of rolling downhill woods to play in, in the middle of nowhere.
boom!
if you want to read the whole story and about the whole thing go on (shameless plug here homer hahaha)
digfourvictory.blogspot.com
so, its 10 minutes further drive for me, ten minutes less drive for all the f****ers that havent helped me over the past 3 years but ahwell, as stupid as it sounds, im more stoked on having people to dig with than having 8 acres of woods (which might i add is pretty much a dream come true…) theres only so much solo ipod sessioning any man can handle, and i have the upmost restecpa for the dudes who are still out there on there own making their dream happen! dig for victoryyyyyyyy! heres some photiods of the past 3 weekends work, only small stuff built so far, curvy fun-ness, then the boomers will be stacked, this weekend i think get to it!
ahwell, huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge shout out to mc homer this is a savage idea, thanks for having such a great tasche!
Judging from the site stats quite a few people clicked through to
Boyd’s DigForVictory blog
which is rad. Boyd has just posted this Summer Trails video with a selection of trails and footy from when it was slightly less cold. If you check out a few trail sites then I’m sure you would have already seen this, if so I apologise. If not, definitely worth a watch
Since moving to Bristol, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting quite a few people who are genuinely stoked on riding trails which in my opinion is always a pleasure. One of those people is Boyd. Boyd has his own blog on which he posts probably the most epic updates of any blog I look at, and he’s just posted up a video of a summer session at Villij which is something that never gets old. So instead of re-watching the X factor final, go to
Dig For Victory
, watch the edit and get psyched to build some rad stuff for next year
